             Who is Steve "Boshi" Castro Sr.

Steve "Boshi" Castro, Sr. Is a Fifth Degree Black Belt in Kuzushi Te Karate, earning his rank and the title "Renshi" in July 2018 under Hanshi Lindquist. With over 40 years of passion for karate, Steve's journey began when a neighbor invited him to study the art, leading to ongoing training with his current instructor, Greg Lindquist. Greg Lindquist, a 10th-degree black belt, heads the international organization Zensekai Karate Kobujitsu Renmei. Steve's initial Shodan (first-degree black belt) was awarded by the renowned karate master Taika Seiyu Oyata in July 1990, and he continued training with Oyata until his passing in 2012. Steve concurrently trained with Sensei Lindquist during this period and continues to do so. Steve has extensive teaching experience in karate and self-defense, including a karate ministry, after-school programs, and women's self-defense lessons for over 20 years. His comprehensive approach equips women with tools for situational awareness, avoidance, and practical techniques for self-extrication.
